Happy, Blessed Thanksgiving to you, my friend!
Yes, I realize I’m a day early, but today as we reflect on this season of thankfulness, I wanted to wish you and yours a joyous, stress-free, hope-filled holiday—one that brings a smile and a tender thought or two.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we celebrated the state of Thanksgiving the whole year through?
I believe the world would, indeed, be a better place for it.
We might be more gracious. More humble. More willing to contribute.
Inflated egos and harsh rhetoric would take a back seat to empathy and kindness.
It’s a beautiful thought.
While life might never be what we’d like, we can still look toward the ideal. We can reach beyond pettiness and differences and mark time by counting our blessings, not others’ infractions.
For just a few moments, let’s try. Let’s visualize good things and all we hold dear.
Ready?
I’ll start.
