You may remember I recently mentioned a blog post that seemed to be making its rounds.
This was an older piece I’d blogged in 2012, and I’d even reposted a time or two since.
The post?
10 Characteristics of a Joy-Bearer
You may also remember I wanted to thank the original share-er, but I didn’t know who to thank or where it began.
Well, this week—through a little research—the mystery is solved. At 1.2K “likes” and 325 shares, I must say I’m truly humbled that a single blog post touched and blessed so many.
Sharing that one, single blog post made all the difference. It sent hundreds of my new friends in the Philippines and 20+ countries to my online home.
Normally, I’m not a numbers gal, but the steady increase of visitors excites me.
Why?
An increase in website traffic means my message of hope and encouragement is impacting folks’ lives.
It’s adding value.
It’s being a joy-bearer.
It’s me sharing the Good News which is, in part, my way of fulfilling the Great Commission.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:19-20 NIV)
Thank you CBN Aisa for sharing my thoughts and causing them to multiply!
Encouragement is the heartbeat of this blog, and as I’ve said before, your safe place.
It’s the one spot—your little niche—where you can let your hair down and leave your worries behind for just a bit.
My prayer is that when you leave, your heart’s a little lighter, your outlook brighter. (And if you know someone who needs a pick-me-up, please send them over so they can fellowship with us, too.)
A final note—I’m hard at work on my October newsletter and I’d be delighted to send one your way at the end of this month. If you’d like a sneak peek before you sign up in the sidebar, here’s a sample of what you can expect.
There you’ll find uplifting, hope-filled content similar to what you see here on my blog.
Thank you, friend, for visiting today.
I pray you have a relaxing, smile-induced weekend!
