Ahh. Friday.
Has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? It should—it’s almost the weekend!
To kick things off, let’s indulge in the above goodies. *munch* *munch* *munch* There. Feel better? Now that the sugar’s kicked in, let’s visit!
Things have been a little hectic over my way. If you’re a newsletter subscriber, you understand why. May’s shaping up to be a busy month!
When we run full steam ahead all week, by Friday we’re energy-strapped. It may take a little more strength to inch our way out of bed, care for our families, and wrap up loose ends from the previous four work days.
I think it’s time we kick back and relax, even it’s for just a few moments.
Here we go.
Presenting your four fun Friday pick-me-ups.
- The depth and breadth of love always moves us. Grab a tissue and check out this post via Simple Grace. Then go tell someone you love them.
- A local police officer was shot in the line of duty a few months ago. Initially, the news was grave and it wasn’t known if this young man would survive. Word was that if he did, his quality of life would be severely compromised. Well, let’s just say—when God’s at the helm, all bets are off. See what Officer Pearson’s able to do now. (Again, tissue time. And please bear with the ad for a bit prior to the start of the video clip. So worth it.)
- Are you a cookie lover? Who isn’t, right?! Well, this will make you positively giddy. Check out Southern Living’s 82 Best-Loved Cookie and Bar Recipes. Mmm. Good stuff.
- I’ve discovered a new-to-me site—A Beautiful Mess, a gem created by sisters (and locals) Emma and Elsie. Before you navigate their cyber home, start here. There are tabs for food, home, crafts, style, and more! And lots of ideas, tips, eye-candy, and feel good. Have fun!
And to mothers everywhere—Happy, Blessed Mother’s Day (early)!
