Another Friday.
Time for a work week wrap-up!
Whew.
Where do the days go?
Since school started, summer’s almost a memory. And with tennis season in full swing, things in our neck of the woods are busy, busy, busy.
For those of you whose kiddos play sports, then you know what I’m talking about. It’s tremendous fun, but a wee bit hectic. (With tennis, sometimes there are two to three games a week, and on the nights the girls aren’t playing, they’re practicing. And for us this week, that means in 100 degree heat.)
Add to that additional school activities, church events, and various appointments, (and—oh yeah! I write!) I’m one tired mama by the end of the week.
I’m ready for some serious downtime this weekend. How about you?
Typically, Labor Day weekend prompts one last hurrah before fall settles in. A lot of families plan weekend getaways or mini-vacays and some folks tend to various tasks at home. Many people hit the Labor Day sales in search of those must-have bargains.
Our family’s plan is to hang loose with each other over the holiday, maybe do a few chores, and we’ll go from there.
Rest and relaxation seem contradictory to the holiday’s intent, but I’ve learned my body’s signals and I know the importance of taking breaks.
In light of that, I’m keeping this post short today, friends.
I’m also taking a blog break on Monday, but I’ll be back on Wednesday.
Hope you’ll join me!

Andrew, thank you! Truly, I was about ready to drop last night. I’m looking forward to a much-needed break. Have a great weekend!
Enjoy your time with the fam, Cindy!
I’m actually not taking a break over Labor Day weekend. Boo! But it’s all good–I got my fun weekend last week. This weekend it’s all about rewrites…and more rewrites…and more rewrites! And I’m working in the office on Monday since I’ve taken gobs of time off lately.
But it’s funny…there’s refreshment in work, sometimes. And that’s what I’m feeling right now as I head into revising two projects. It’s a good feeling. 🙂

Melissa, yay! Go, go, go!
I feel that way about a project just now. Sometimes, when we’ve stepped away for a time we can see things in a new light. Happy Revising!
