Have you noticed how quickly time flies the closer we get to Christmas?
It seems like we just washed our roasting pans and tableware, and yet, we’re only two weeks away from the biggest holiday of all—the celebration of the birth of our Savior.
How exciting!
Today, in the spirit of Christmas, let’s keep the goosebumps coming and focus on my favorite word: encouragement.
That’s right. Today’s blog post is all about the love.
Here we go!
More Good Things
- This Christmas video from my alma mater blessed me. The Word never grows old, and Williams Memorial Chapel at College of the Ozarks is the perfect inspirational backdrop.
- If you’re not yet following Guideposts’ executive editor Rick Hamlin’s Song a Day for Advent, you should tune in. His uplifting seasonal selections will make you smile.
- In the mood for some family movies? War Room (a great film about faith and prayer) releases to DVD soon. Our family saw it at the box office last summer and loved it! And check out 90 Minutes in Heaven, based on the best-selling book by Don Piper. We had the opportunity to hear Don’s awesome testimony at our church last year.

- Check out Sonoma Christian Home, one of my favorite sites for hope and encouragement. Besides being a visual feast for your eyes, there are tons of subjects with inspirational takeaways. Plan to stay for a while.
- Another fave hang-out space is A House Full of Sunshine. Think creative, crafty, and fun. Be sure and visit the Project Gallery page.
- On Wednesday I shared a bit of Christmas from over my way. If you missed joining us, come on in! Coffee pot’s on and the little lights are twinkling.
And remember…
Life’s too short to be a crank.
Read a book.
Write a book.
Eat a donut.
Sip some coffee.
Share your time.
Think good things.
Spread the love.
