Merry Christmas, my friend!
This week as we approach the big day, I pray you’re able to slow down, reflect, and breathe in the joy of the season.
Sometimes, we get so caught up in spend/buy/bake/overdo mode that the true meaning of Christmas is shoved to the back burner—celebrated almost as an afterthought rather than the centerpiece of the holiday. How sad.
Heaven forbid, the birth of our Savior slide to second place at a time that was meant to honor Him.
So, while reverent and mindful, I believe our holiday can and should include smiles, laughter, and merry-making—without over-the-top busyness.
Jesus has come!
Our world is no longer in darkness.
We have eternal, everlasting light!
Now, that is something to celebrate.
And because Christmas is the perfect time to pause, praise, and celebrate, I’m taking a blog break beginning today through Wednesday, January 6th, 2016.
I’ll enjoy fun and fellowship with family and friends. I may eat a Christmas cookie—or two.
We’ll pull out board games and Christmas classics, and we’ll while away the hours over delicious treats and lively conversation.
With Jesus foremost in our minds, we’ll honor Him in a way that would draw us closer to our Savior and to each other.
Around January 4th, my next newsletter will go out to subscribers. I’d love to send you one! 2016 will include MORE encouragement-packed grins and upbeat goodies. Please sign up in the sidebar today if you’re interested in the fun.
Also, coming to the blog in 2016 will be MORE Ozarkian slice-of-life vignettes in addition to the usual heartfelt, homespun funsies. We’ll dish a little writing and a whole lot of encouragement, too. And if you don’t want to miss a post, again—please sign up over to your right—>
Be sure and click on the confirmation links sent to your-email, as that completes the sign-up process. (Easy, painless, and free!) You can unsubscribe at any time.
Another tidbit—in 2016, my website will undergo a facelift. While I’ve loved my comfy, cozy cyber home, it’s time to polish and update. Stay tuned for more on that!
