If you’re a member of my newsletter family, by now you know…the release date for His Love Revealed, book two in my Welcome to Ruby series, is October 1, 2020! That’s right, an entire month ahead of schedule!

Pre-Order date for His Love Revealed is August 15th—so just around the corner!

As I navigate the preliminary stages of another book launch, I can’t tell you how excited I am to get this story in readers’ hands. HLR is Ida Mae Hoscutt’s story (the beloved Come and Get It owner from Her Hope Discovered, book one, in my WTR series. I love, love, LOVE this story, and I think you will, too!

Here’s the back cover copy:

Will revelations of the past hijack their future?

Since childhood, Ida Mae Hoscutt, the beloved proprietress of the Come and Get It Diner, has loved Charles “Chuck” Farrow from afar. Now on the eve of her thirty-ninth birthday with no marriage proposal in sight, Ida Mae mourns past mistakes and contemplates a makeover. When a radio commercial wrenches Ida Mae’s heart, will a sudden turn of events sabotage her chance for happiness or will a long-held secret be the answer to love ever-after?

As Ida Mae’s right-hand man at the Come and Get It, Chuck yearns to shift gears and start over. He’s ready to shelve bachelorhood and blunders in favor of possibilities and new beginnings. When he prepares to move forward, two things challenge his objective. One is the father who walked away and never looked back. The other? A decades-old question that only Ida Mae can answer.

And Ida Mae isn’t talking.

I’ve shared with my Facebook Readers’ Group that this book tugged my emotions. I wrote this story during a time of great personal adversity when making deadline seemed like a pipe dream. By the time deadline neared, my fingers flew across the ol’ keyboard.

You’ve heard authors say “This book literally wrote itself.” While I won’t be a copycat, I will tell you…I really don’t even remember writing the last few chapters of this story. Truly, it was as if God breathed life into this entire book from beginning to end.

I remember sitting at the keyboard, watching minutes tick by as words poured forth. Would I fail or would I make it?

To give you some perspective, to make deadline…

  • I wrote non-stop…as I recovered from major surgery.
  • I wrote non-stop…and missed seeing our son walk in his graduate ceremony as he obtained his M.Ed. (My husband attended the ceremony as I watched online with my phone propped beside the computer.)
  • I wrote non-stop…as my daddy spiraled into the abyss of late stage Alzheimer’s.
  • I wrote non-stop…as I continued marketing book one and plotting book three.
  • I wrote non-stop…as I glued my backside to the chair, and I literally didn’t leave that chair for hours on end except for restroom breaks.
  • I wrote non-stop.

While I wish circumstances had been different, sometimes, life throws us curve balls. Life happens, and as writers, we must rise to the occasion, if at all possible.  (Click-to-Tweet)

Last year, three minutes before deadline, I handed over His Love Revealed to my editor!

Yes—I thought I’d die from exhaustion.

But in the midst of this, God carried me.

His Love Revealed is everything I dreamed it would be and more.

Now, if you haven’t yet read Her Hope Discovered, which introduces you to Ida Mae Hoscutt and Chuck Farrow, grab this awesome book bargain collection and enjoy it and four additional great stories by wonderful authors.  Reading HHD isn’t necessarily a must, as HLR stands on its own, but starting this series with book one will introduce you to Ruby, Missouri and your new friends and neighbors who live there.

Pssst…Stay tuned for the cover reveal of book two. This cover is sublime! Watch for it in August!

Also, look for updates regarding my launch team call-out. I’ll share more about that soon!
