Welcome, friend!
Delighted you stopped by!
Well, I don’t know about you, but we’re still in busy mode over our way. Last week, we celebrated a niece’s high school commencement, and this week we kicked things off with another graduation—that of our favorite eighth grader (different niece, same family).
In addition to graduations, we’ve had end-of-school-year activities and other commitments. Exciting and fun, but a wee bit exhausting.
Like many of you, I’m on auto-pilot.
My blog posts usually go live at five CST. And no—you didn’t miss today’s. A family member had a health crises and that, of course, took precedence over this.
Maybe you know just what that feels like. Life sneaks up on you and clobbers you on the head with a wake-up call.
What’s more important—finishing a blog post or tending to a loved one’s emergency? Hands down, that’s a no-brainer, wouldn’t you agree?
So, while I’m keeping this short, I didn’t want to let the day slip away without your mid-week pick-me-up.
Consider this.
In the midst of all the busyness, emergencies, and flat-out exhaustion, there’s still so much to be thankful for.
Great pick-me-ups guaranteed to put a smile on your face and light your “feel good” fire:
- This little boy wanted to give back. See what left patrons in tears (via Fox news).
- U.S. military, we salute you! This young man melted my heart. What a surprise! (via Simple Grace).
- Remember those class field trips you loved as a kiddo? See why this one held special significance (via UPtv)
And a reminder…
I’m putting the final touches on my June newsletter. No Downer Dan content allowed! (Since it goes out soon, I hope you’ll sign up today!)
