Today as we enter wind-down mode, I wanted to share three not-to-miss thoughts. Thoughts worth considering as we seek downtime and restoration.
The first is a brief synopsis of the newly released movie Hacksaw Ridge. This movie is based on the true story of World War II hero Desmond Doss, a man of courage and faith who shunned the limelight, yet a man whose valor left an indelible imprint on the pages of history.
Typically, I’m not a fan of war movies, but this Guideposts article by Jessica Toomer drew me in. I’m adding Hacksaw Ridge to my list of musts. Check out the link and see if you agree.
The second not-to-miss thought is this beautiful testimony by award winning author Tessa Afshar. Tessa’s heart and love for Christ will touch you. Watch the video through to the very end. You’ll be blessed!
Finally, the third not-to-miss thought is the Top 100 Literary Blogs for Writers and Publishing Agents via Feedspot. Writers, this is a fantastic resource so you’ll want to bookmark this one and refer back to all the great info here.
In addition to my three not-to-miss thoughts are these quotes:
“Don’t dig up in doubt what you planted in faith.” via 100 Huntley Street.
“Forgiveness isn’t about excusing someone else’s behavior. It’s about choosing to let go of your anger so you can focus on something better.” via Amy Morin, LCSW
And if you missed my recent post When You Must Go Through the Forest to See Daylight, be sure to read. I think it will encourage you.
