Yesterday afternoon (following morning worship), our church held its annual fall car-nival. It was an alternative to celebrations that other venues might offer this time of year.
Our car-nival included: snow cones, cotton candy, funnel cakes, popcorn, goodie boxes, a cake walk, pulled pork, chili dogs, potato soup, bouncy toys, face painting, kids games, a petting zoo, AND a classic car show.
The best part? It was all FREE. Our church’s ultimate goal was to spread the love of Jesus through fun, food, and fellowship.
Though I’m not really a car buff, I have to admit that some of the classics on display were real beauties. They spoke of simpler times– of eras long gone, but clearly not forgotten.
I thought I’d share a few of these lovely gems today. Enjoy!
Do you have a favorite fall carnival this time of year? What seasonal events do you participate in?

I do, too, Loree! It was fun to see all the cars and the eras represented.
The classic cars are super cool. Our church is hosting their fall festival tonight.
The kids are so excited. There will be carnival rides, games, fun food, and a
costume contest. My munchkins are dressing up as little monsters. 🙂

Enjoy your festival, Tanya! Would love to see your kiddos all dressed up!
My hubby has a classic British sports car, a 1968 MGB, so I’ve been to a number of car shows through the years. It’s fun to see the old models.
Our church held its annual Harvest Festival last night. My family has run the fishing booth for years. I enjoy stocking “the pond” with cool toys and such and being “the fish.” It’s fun to hear the kids’ squeals of delight on the other side of the sheets.

Love the fishing “ponds”, Keli!
I thought I remembered you mentioning your husband’s classic sports car! Wow, I wonder what stories that car could tell!
Looks like a fun event! What a neat way to reach out to others.

We had such a great turn-out, Sarah! It was a blessing to minister to those who might not otherwise know Christ.
