If you’ve visited my cyber home for very long, you know many of my posts center around love and encouragement.
Why?
Well—I’m glad you asked.
Love and encouragement are near and dear to my heart for a couple reasons.
- We live with enough negativity in this old world. Folks are starved for joy.
- I’ve experienced adversity. Perhaps, you have, too. That’s why you need some good, old-fashioned hope!
- Love is a powerful motivator. Maybe you don’t hear “I love you” enough. I want you to know, friend, you are loved.
- Everyone needs encouragement. It primes us for victory. Over the years, I’ve had some great encouragers. I want to pay it forward.
As we visit here together on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I want you to feel safe. Loved. Encouraged.
From time to time, I may tackle some tough or touchy topics. When I do, I promise to tell you the truth (with tact) and in love.
Additional things I blog about:
- The writing process and my writing journey.
- Romance–in life and in writing
- The Ozarks and life here
- Slice-of-life vignettes
- Spirituality
Since I write Heartfelt, Homespun Fiction, I often weave a thread of love and encouragement within my posts. I want you to feel a little better when you leave than when you first stopped by.
That means I’ll rarely dish politics, reality T.V., snark, or negativity. I’m not good at rants. Or agendas. I don’t write horror. Or erotica.
I’m a down-home country gal. I don’t use a lot of ten-dollar words. I’ve found many people prefer simple over eloquence. Don’t get me wrong—there’s a time and place for “fancy.” This just isn’t that place and I don’t want to waste your time pretending otherwise.
If any of this interests you, please sign up to follow my blog in the sidebar where you won’t miss a single post (or newsletter—which I’m exploring for the future.)
You can also connect with me on Facebook and Twitter. I’d love to get to know you better!
Today I wanted to give you a quick recap of why I blog what I blog.
I really hope you’ll return!

Oh, yes, I blog!
I’ve started a second one…and it’ll be there every day, at http://www.dailygracequote.com
Your encouragement and hope and faith and love have seen me through some dark, dark days. Cindy, you are an inspiration, and sometimes, I think – a lifebelt thrown to me by the Almighty.
You are a blessing, and I can’t help but think that when Jesus thinks of you, He does a Snoopy Dance.
Heck, you probably encourage Him and His Dad, as well!
