Have you had a hectic week?
Me, too!
I think Feel Good Friday is in order!
Sit back, relax, and prepare to unwind for minute. If you’re looking for a quick pick-me-up, you’ve come to the right place. (And don’t forget to check out last Friday’s post if you missed Downtime Dillydallying: 15 Tips to a Stress-Free Weekend.)
This week as local and national news threatened to steal my joy, I retreated to my writing cave (more than usual). No, I don’t hide my head in the sand because as a writer I recognize the importance of staying up-to-speed on current events. Being aware is smart.
However, I know my limitations. Too much bad stuff, and my brain goes on overload. It’s just not good for me to watch or listen to a steady stream of sad, heartbreaking happenings.
And over-the-top scandals, rants, or tangents? Forget ’em. Those are immediate turn-offs, too.
Instead, I pray. I write. I create.
I turn my attention to joy. I think of ways I can add some to your world.

I’m keeping it short today as I help my daughter prepare for Graffiti Girls weekend at our church. (This is a tremendous event where young women gather together to learn more about God and themselves. Check out this post and this post for a synopsis of a previous conference.)
Here’s to a great weekend, friends!
