Oh, my goodness! As I said in my recent newsletter, December was a whirlwind. January’s shaping up to give December a run for her money.
Between a book launch and a blog party (one here and one at Mountain Brook Ink), guest blogs, marketing, promotion, and my work-in-progress, even breathing is a short commodity. Toss in Christmas and last month’s holiday to-dos, and I don’t mind sharing—I am one exhausted gal. Zzzzzzz
I need a nap, friends! Preferably, a longish one on my cozy, comfy bed with my favorite warm blanket.
But…there will be time for that later!
Today I wanted to thank you for dropping by the blog last week and helping me celebrate the release of my début novel, Her Hope Discovered. I so appreciate your kind words and well-wishes! You make the journey sweeter. 🙂 (Click-to-Tweet)
♥Without further ado, the winner of my $25 Amazon gift card is… *drum roll*… Michelle!♥ Wa-hoo! Congratulations, Michelle! Please touch base soon so I can get your fabulous prize to you!

Last night, I participated in my publisher’s Facebook (book release) party with four other MBI authors who also recently had releases. What a fantastic event! If you stopped by our Facebook party, please revisit the group and check out who won prizes. It may be you!
Also, today I’m a blog guest of the lovely Shannon Vannatter. If you missed my previous post, be sure and catch up, as that’s part one of how I met my husband. Inquiring minds want to know, right? Also leave a comment—Shannon is graciously offering one of her fabulous books as a giveaway!
My next stops include The Engrafted Word on 1/15/19, Seekerville on 2/01/19 and ACFW on 2/11/19. Please stop by and say hello!
FYI I’m pinning my blog hops and other fun bookish things on my new Pinterest boards. Don’t forget to pop over and check those out! Consider following me on Pinterest for #allthepretty and to stay in the know. I just love this medium and you will not be disappointed. In addition to my Her Hope Discovered boards, I have a variety of others. Please check them out!
Finally, I did want to ask…have you read Her Hope Discovered? If you have, would you please consider posting a review?
Book reviews are little golden nuggets to authors. They add credibility to our work and increase visibility with each review that’s posted.
A book review doesn’t have to be a long, drawn-out missive (unless, of course, you feel led).
Even sharing just a few thoughts and impressions about a book are helpful and greatly appreciated by the author and potential readers. Never reveal spoilers, but do offer a takeaway. Perhaps share how a story made you feel and why you’d recommend it to others. (Click-to-Tweet)
Taking time to share your thoughts never goes unnoticed. We love it!
Now, guess what?

Hi, Cynthia! Following your book launch season is great fun. You are a busy person with all the events going on. I’m thrilled you are experiencing this well-deserved time to the fullest!
I’ve just started Her Hope Discovered and already know I’ll enjoy many visits to Ruby. Congratulations, my friend!

Sherida, thanks for hanging out with me during all this crazy-fun! Welcome to Ruby, friend!
Cynthia, oh what a busy season for you, and by the looks of it, you’re not getting that cozy little nap soon! How exciting to be in Hope by the Book magazine’s debut issue! I don’t have my copy yet. I just subscribed last week. A review from me is coming! I read a few chapters every chance I get, but those chances have been few. My daughter goes back to college next week. That will free up my time. I’m about half way, so I’ve been making progress…and book friends! I can’t wait to get back to Ruby to visit! 🙂 — By the way, I hate that I missed your publisher’s launch party last night! Boo!

Karen, I may indulge in that nap this afternoon—it’s the perfect day for it! I understand about reading limitations. Our college gal returns to campus soon, too!
No worries about missing the FB chat. We had a lot of fun, but I well know the busyness this season brings. You will love Hope By The Book. Tons of reviews and bookish fun!
