It’s wonderful to be back with you today!
Thanks for extending grace during my blogging respite of the past several months. While, technically, I’m still on hiatus. I wanted to share a brief update with a few end-of-the-summer tidbits, some book news, and a couple other fun things. (Click-to-Tweet)
I’m now about four months or so from my launch date—January 2019! That’s right. Her Hope Discovered will soon become a reality. OH, my goodness—can you hear it? “It” meaning my heart as it slams like a jackhammer against my chest. And guess what?! I’ve seen my book cover and it is stunning. It’s everything I envisioned and more. *cue the cymbals*
From the moment I completed the book cover questionnaire to the meeting with my cover designer and editor/publisher, I sensed something exciting on the horizon. Let me just say—my cover designer brilliantly captured the quaint, little community of Ruby, Missouri just as I’ve always dreamed it and I’m thrilled!
With an eye for detail, she breathed life into the Ozarks town of my imagination and coaxed it awake. Instead of visiting my beloved town in my mind, now I can almost touch it. It’s humbling and surreal. A little like falling into an ocean of icing where you just want to soak up the sweetness for a while.
I can’t wait for you to meet new friends in my Welcome to Ruby series. I hope you love Charla and Sam’s story just as much as I do. ♥
Stay tuned for the big cover reveal toward the end of October!!!
In November, there’s more fun ahead as I join my fellow Mountain Brook Ink authors and we gear up for the holiday season. Connect with me on social media because you won’t want to miss any of it. (Hint: prizes!) I’ll post updates on Facebook, in my Facebook readers group, on Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. Did you catch that? Yes—I’ve joined Instagram! If you love pretty eye candy, give me a follow there.
Also, to learn more about MBI, check out their new YouTube channel and join them on Facebook.
Soon, my September newsletter rolls out and it is packed with bucketloads of grins, giggles, and encouragement. Haven’t signed up for my monthly updates yet? No worries! You can do that here or over in the sidebar. Be sure and click on the confirmation link that will arrive in your inbox, as this completes the sign-up process. Because my newsletter family is THE best, each month I draw a winner’s name for a really great prize. Also, subscribers are privy to bookish tidbits and all the juicy details first. I’d love to welcome you aboard if you’re so inclined!
In the upcoming weeks as I prepare for the national ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) conference, I have a few more blog guests scheduled. I hope you’ll stop by and weigh in.
And oh…guess what? We moved college gal back to the dorm last weekend. *sigh* We’re back to semi-empty-nesting! *sniffle* (Please pass the chocolate!)
Finally, to whet your appetite until the big cover reveal, a book meme…
Is the sure thing worth risking for the possibility of maybe?

Sherida, thanks so much for those chocolate treats! Every year, I think it’ll get a little easier…and it does somewhat. I guess a part of us will always miss them, though, no matter when they go.
I can’t wait to share my cover reveal with everyone. I’m so glad you’re excited to meet the folks who live in Ruby! 🙂
Cynthia, Congratulations on the busy fall you have scheduled ahead of you. I’m looking forward to a trip to Ruby. I’ve been fortunate to visit Missouri twice in the past ten years, and I look forward to this fictional trip.
Looking forward to your cover reveal.

Thank you, Tanya! I modeled the little town of Ruby after the hometown of my childhood. Such sweet memories!
If you find yourself in the SW MO area one day, please let me know. Would love to buy you coffee!
Looking forward to the cover reveal, Cynthia – and reading all about the town of Ruby. Congratulations!
