It’s Friday! Squeeee!
Ever have one of those weeks where you think Friday can’t come soon enough? Well, that’s been my week this week. I’ve kept my nose to the grindstone, and I don’t mind telling you, I’m ready for a respite.
Today I wanted to dish a little about an upcoming blog post. Please settle back in your comfy chair, have a bite of cyber pie, and slug back a swig of coffee as we chat.
On Monday, I’ll be interviewing Dr. Gary Neal Hansen, Ph.D., author of the inspirational Kneeling with Giants (InterVarsity Press). Kneeling with Giants: Learning to Pray with History’s Best Teachers “provides a fresh approach to prayer…” and is “divided into four sections, each highlighting different historical figures and providing prayer methods for those who find themselves longing for a deeper connection with God” via IVP Books press sheet.
I met Gary at Chad Allen’s cyber home and you won’t want to miss what he has to say on ministry, teaching, writing, and life. Gary’s easy-going demeanor, sharp wit, and brilliant mind will encourage and uplift you.
As an added treat, InterVarsity Press has graciously donated a copy of Gary’s book for a blog giveaway, and I’m throwing in a $15 Starbucks gift card for good measure! All you have to do to be entered is to leave a comment on Monday’s post (February 11th, 2013). I’ll announce the winner on Wednesday, February 13th.
Unfortunately, I do have to leave spam filters on, but if your comment doesn’t appear right away, don’t fret–Ozarkian term. (In other words–not to worry.) All legitimate comments with valid e-mails will post eventually. And if you’ve commented before, it won’t be a problem anyway.
Here are some other RULES and INFORMATION:
- To enter, you must be age 21 or over.
- Due to mailing restrictions, this blog drawing will be limited to U.S. residents only.
- This drawing is void where prohibited.
- Monday’s winner will be randomly selected and determined by the number of entries received.
I would encourage you to hop over to Chad Allen’s site. Chad is the Editorial Director of Baker Books. He blogs about writing and the world of publishing, as well as spiritual matters from to time to time. You may remember that I chatted with him last November.
At Chad’s cyber home, you’ll learn some further background information on Gary and the project he’s been working on with Chad. And if you’re a writer, especially of non-fiction, you won’t want to miss any of these posts. This particular blog post series has a lot of “meat” to digest. It’s been a great time of learning!)
I’d love for you to join me back here on Monday! Please send some friends over, too. The more, the merrier!
I’m looking forward to Gary’s visit and I know he’s eager to share his heart with you!

Oh, I’m in for sure! 🙂 God blessed me till I ran over yesterday. I was having a tough, tough day and He bulleted me with the same theme in a row and encouraged me through is word. Divine intervention for sure! And I blessed Him by praising Him for His goodness to me! 🙂

Jess, sending big (((hugs))) your way! You can always call me. Always.
So thankful that His word speaks to us in miraculous ways and wonders! I’ve resolved to be more appreciative of the “little” and not just the “big.”
Thanks for the mentions, Cynthia. And this contest is so much fun! Love it…
