Today, we’re approximately five and a half weeks out from the annual American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) conference.
I’m excited!
While there have been some highs and lows this summer, I’m so grateful for God’s watchcare and provision. As always, I’m reminded of blessings I sometimes take for granted.
Like for instance—reliable transportation, a comfortable home, good health, and a wonderful family.
Although we’re in busy mode at our house just now, there’s much to give thanks for. While some of the crazy busyness is out of my control, I still have options in other areas.
I’m eliminating part of the stress by first doing the things that require additional time.
ACFW conference prep is front-and-center on my agenda just now.
- I’m preparing one-sheets of the novels I’m pitching
- I’m highlighting specific areas of my conference schedule
- I’ve downloaded the ACFW conference app to my smartphone
- I’m connecting with friends I want to hook-up with at conference
- I’ve made a suitcase packing list
- I’ve organized my business cards
- I’m in the process of wardrobe planning
There’s still a lot left to do, but that gives you an idea of what I mean. Because this is the fourth ACFW conference I’ve attended, I’ve learned preparation is key to a great conference experience.
If you’re heading to Nashville next month and you’d like to connect, please feel free to message me. I’d love to hear from you!
And if you can’t attend conference, but would still like to stay in the loop, please like me on Facebook and sign up for my monthly newsletter over in the top sidebar —->
In my newsletters you’ll be privy to additional great content and tidbits, as well as writing news and industry chatter. My newsletter family is very important to me, and I won’t slam you with frequent e-mails or marketing promo.
Now…
How about a walk down Memory Lane?
Here are just a few highlights from past conferences. Enjoy!
