Two Words That Motivate

Cynthia Herron Encouragement 14 Comments

I’m a peoplewatcher.

I enjoy studying people wherever I go.

I like mixing with them.

I like loving on them.

I like encouraging them.

Because I’ve walked the lonesome valley of heartache, I like to comfort those who might be hurting.

If you’re needing a pick-me-up today, here’s what I’d like to say:

Don’t quit!

It may take every ounce of strength you have. But please… don’t quit!

It may mean resolving that, for now, life is difficult.

You may be experiencing heartache, turmoil, indecision, or discouragement. Rail if you must, but don’t quit!

You may have to sacrifice. You may have to stay the course. You may have to walk with trials for the time being. You may have to dig in, camp out, light a fire, or build a fortress.

Temporary defeats are stepping-stones to greatness.

You’re being refined, redirected, set apart, and primed for victory.

Don’t quit!

Your hardships aren’t without notice.

Your winning chapter is still being written.

Your detours are mere blips on God’s radar.

He’s the Maker of a bigger map.

Your time on earth during your most difficult circumstance isn’t wasted.

God’s plan doesn’t involve a trashcan

Whatever your journey today, don’t quit!

 HERE’S WHY:

  • God sees where you’re headed even though you don’t. (Jeremiah 29:11)
  • A miracle is not beyond God’s sovereign reach. (Hebrews 11:1)
  • Closed doors are about to open. (Matthew 7:7-8)
  • God is bigger than your mountain. (Matthew 21:21-22)
  • Timing is everything. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-11)
  • Nothing manmade inhibits Christ. (Mark 16:2, 4-6)
  • Healing is at hand. (Luke 5:24, John 14:13-14)
  • You’re a conqueror. (Romans 8:37-39)
  • You have armor. (Ephesians 6:13-15)
  • The battle has been won! (John 3:16)

Don’t quit!

    Cindy~

Thank you so much for this blog post. My sister and nephew are going through some huge stuff right now, and you shared all the Scriptures I wanted to share, but couldn’t remember the references to. I will definitly share this with both of them.

Thank you so much for being a tool in the Master’s hand.

Andrea, I will add your sister and nephew to my prayer journal.

Thankful that God used my words to speak comfort this morning, and thankful that YOU ministered to me, as well!

Jess, there are so many dear ones that are enduring hardship right now, and I just want them to know that God continues to see the victory where, so often, we can’t.

      You’re a blessing!
