Woo-hoo! Today’s the day–I’m celebrating the kick-off of my first newsletter!
Thank you, friend, for taking this journey with me!
If you’ve subscribed, by now my (March 2015) newsletter should have reached your inbox. In my début venture, I shared something so poignant that the memory still lingers although the event happened decades ago. I also shared additional funsies and content unique solely to my newsletter.
If you’ve not yet signed up, of course there’s still time to hop on board! In fact, I’d be delighted if you would! (SUBSCRIBE HERE.) The sign-up on my Welcome page is for my monthly newsletter. If you’ve signed up here on my blog (below) you’ll receive my blog updates. In other words—if you’d like both, you must sign up in both spots for now. (We’re working on a plugin that will allow for a more streamlined process.)
To those of you who’ve subscribed to my newsletter and blog—thank you! I’m so humbled and blessed by your vote of confidence. You encourage, inspire, and motivate me to keep on keepin’ on.
As I’ve mentioned, my newsletter subscribers will have access to content that won’t be available here on my blog.
Why start a newsletter?
Well, for a variety of reasons. (See this post.) This is a new adventure for me, but one I’ve looked forward to.
I’ve had a ball crafting and creating content that I believe you will enjoy. As a writer and as a creative, a newsletter has always been something that was on my radar. It’s a new venue in which to spread my wings and take my message of encouragement beyond my blog borders.
Though I’m still feeling my way and tweaking things, this seemed like the right time to launch something new.
For the time being, my plan is to deliver the newsletters monthly. In them, subscribers will find Heartfelt Homespun goodies, writing and industry news, and maybe a recipe or two. My newsletters will reflect my Ozarkian heritage, and you’ll find them encouragement-packed and sprinkled with generous dollops of faith, hope, and always, love.

Thought I’d signed up, but I guess not…so I am doing so now.
This morning two of the Big Pit ladies had some fun in the yard. Sylvia and Rapunzel wandered off in different directions, to a separation of about 200 feet, and then turned and charged, in a game of canine chicken.
Unfortunately, both dodged in the same direction at the last second. They spent a few minutes sitting arm-in-arm, so to speak, until the world stopped going round and round and they could walk without falling over.
