November… The Month to Give Thanks

Cynthia Herron Thankfulness Leave a Comment

Last weekend, October shuffled out the door and November sauntered in. Without much fanfare, the new month made her quiet début despite my silent protests.

Oh, my.

Holiday prep, already?

I can’t believe how quickly fall’s fading away. Each passing week draws us closer to the bone-chilling cold of winter.

Despite this, I’m thankful for now. For the sunshine and above normal temperatures. For the final burst of color. For the gentle pause as we transition between seasons.

While I adore fall, this time of year remains steady—I hesitate to say “busy.” (I think there’s the tendency to overuse that word, and even though it’s true, I never want to be so busy that I overlook the obvious—the front-and-center blessings.)

In my recent newsletter, I shared a special Thanksgiving memory, indeed a blessing I’ll always be thankful for. To this day, I can still close my eyes and recall every nuance of that sweet time.

If you’ve not yet subscribed to my newsletter, I really hope you do! Each month I offer faith-filled encouragement through slice-of-life vignettes, writing odds and ends, and additional uplifting content. I’d be delighted to welcome you to the family!

You can sign up in the sidebar to your right. Once you enter your info and confirm through the opt-in link, you’ll receive my heartfelt, homespun newsletter, delivered directly to your inbox each month.

To those of you who are already part of “the family”—thank you. You’re another reason I’m blessed beyond measure. I appreciate your kind words and feedback.

It encourages me to know I’ve encouraged you.

I’m keeping it short today, but please return on Friday. We’ll wrap up the week with positive thoughts and some good ol’ fashioned encouragement.
