Happy, Blessed Thanksgiving to You and Yours

Happy, Blessed Thanksgiving, my friend!

I pray this finds you well and in a mindset of thankfulness.

I’m beyond grateful for so many blessings—more than I can count and far more than I deserve.

Over our way we’re knee-deep in Thanksgiving prep mode. Turkey’s thawing, menu’s planned, and my party apron’s at the ready. (And of course, coffee’s brewing!)

On today’s agenda: deviled egg making and pie baking. I’ll also prepare some other things ahead—veggie dips, a pickle tray, and a salad or two.

It’s no secret. I adore the holiday season.

I cherish that sweet time of bonding spent with family and friends, and I appreciate, too, those moments of quiet reflection as we pause and recenter.

While we should hug the holiday spirit close to our hearts all year ’round, designated celebrations like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter ground us.

They expand our compassion and draw us toward hope.

They remind us of the bigger picture.

This Thanksgiving as we linger at the doorway of 2015 a little while longer, it seems there’s a new unity among folks.

That makes me smile in the biggest way.

Nothing better than good, old-fashioned camaraderie in this world of memes and busyness.

My prayer for you today is that your grace-filled gravity becomes your ongoing message.

Peace to you and yours.

You are loved.
