Well, as so often is the case in the Ozarks, we’ve had a twenty-two degree temperature drop. I’m already shivering with today’s projected high of sixty degrees and rain compared to yesterday’s warmish eighty-two and periodic bursts of sunshine.

Ahhh. Life is indeed a mixed bag of unpredictability.

As we wind down our work week (even despite the temperature shift) I must admit—I’m ready for the weekend!

It’s been one of those weeks where I’ve been buried in work. Some fun and some not so fun. Can you identify?

But…

Today’s Friday! Woo-hoo!

Time to let our hair down and slide into veg mode.

Next week I’ll review another great book and I’ll host another giveaway. As you may remember, since I’m a novelist and not a professional reviewer, my review policy is to only review those books I think I’ll like and then give my honest opinion. (If you missed last week’s book review you can catch up here.) Let me just say—you’re in for a treat.

And now… how about a Friday funny?

Here’s a snippet of conversation my daughter and I had recently.

Me: “Do these ankle socks look dorky with my flip-flops?”

DD: “No. They go way beyond dorky. And ‘dorky’ is no longer a word. You’re a writer—you should know that.”

Ouch! (The tactful truth of teenagers!)

Happy Weekend, friends!

Still standing, but barely. This illness is really beginning to suck (please pardon the expression).

Loved the funny. Here’s mine…true thing.

Barbara – “What’s your favorite Beatitude?”
    Me – “Ringo.”

Yes, I’m a bit hard of hearing.
